Roar! It’s Wild Out There.

Roar! It’s Wild Out There.

The virus has shut down and limited our options for places to visit and have fun these days. But there are places that have taken advantage of this down time to show you their venue. Well, Lion Country Safari is one of those places.

Did you know you could go visit wild animals and not have to leave the comfort of your car? Since 1967, Lion Country Safari has been the go-to place to drive amongst the animals in West Palm Beach. Currently the admission policy is have you pre-purchase tickets online at LionCountrySafari.com and present them upon entry to the drive-thru. You may print their “Jambo Guide” at home or stream their audio tour through your vehicle to follow along with your drive.

Lion Country Safari has seven distinctive sections devoted to the animals for your drive around. Here you will drive through such preserves as Gir Forest, Hwange National Park, Kalahari Bushveldt, Serengeti Plains, Las Pampas, Ruaha National Park and Gorongosa Reserve. Each preserve has a special set of animals to view along your drive. For example, see an African Lion in the Gorongosa Reserve or a Brazilian Tapir in Las Pampas or an Asiatic Water Buffalo in the Gir Forest all from the seat of your car.

They have an outdoor Outpost gift shop that is open daily (weather permitting). Masks are required and guests should maintain social distance. Cash & credit card purchases are accepted. The shop is located at the front entrance to Safari World. So have a wild time while you’re here and be safe!
