The Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach has been associated with greyhound racing for many years but with new regulations they are now evolving into an exciting poker room, simulcast viewing and dining venue to behold.
If you are an avid poker player, then come by and check out their poker room. Currently they have 64 no–limit poker tables that vary from Texas Hold’em, Five Card Stud, Seven Card Stud, Omaha, Omaha Eight or Better and Seven Card Stud Eight or Better games daily from 9am to 3 am (Sun–Thur) and until 5am (Fri & Sat). As well as the daily poker games they have poker tournaments just in case you want to try your luck with big league players. Poker not your game or just need to take a break from the card tables? Stop by and check out the “simulcast” viewing of races from around the country. Place a bet on a race; they include horse races, greyhound races and Jai Alai from such venues as Saratoga, Woodbine, Pimilco, Ellis Park and many more cities.
Maybe you just want to stop in for a bite to eat. They have two restaurants to choose from: The Paddock Restaurant and the The Terrace Restaurant. The Paddock has been open for 23 years and going strong. With Head Chef Wanyou Laurent who was born into cooking, his mother (Lula) owned and operated a family kitchen in Haiti where he was raised. The Paddock opens for lunch only at 11:30 am and The Terrace opens for lunch at 11:30 am as well as Friday and Saturday dinners at 6:00 pm.
Come by and enjoy some of their special events held throughout the year. Upcoming events include a sports card show, a charity poker tournament and the Saratoga Derby Invitational viewing.
