Clematis Street Eats!
Clematis Street in West Palm Beach has been home to a vibrant nightlife but dining venues seem to the new rage these days. So many restaurants have popped up on the street as well the streets adjacent as well. Here are a few places you may want to try if you are hungry and nearby.
Hullabaloo (517 Clematis Street)
Hullabaloo seems to be the spot to try on every foodies list in the neighborhood. It’s a trendy charming “gastropub” specializing in Italian food. They serve both brunch and dinner. I’ll stick to the dinner menu for now. Full of Italian staples such as Fettuccini Carbonara, Chicken Parmesan, and Braised Short Rib as well as seafood like Grilled Swordfish, Yellowtail Snapper, and Grilled Salmon you can’t go wrong here. For a little more adventure try one of their own pizza creations like a Cuban Pizza, Grilled Chicken Club Pizza, or Spinach & Roasted Garlic Pizza. If you still have room for dessert then go for the Banana Bread Pudding or the Chocolate Tart. Tasty! Such an interesting location with a narrow dining room with seating out front but go out back to sit and you’ll see an old Airstream trailer that has seats as well as well as a patio area.
Pistache French Bistro (101 N. Clematis Street)
Pistache is a Parisian-style French bistro thoughtfully infused with the lively tastes of the Mediterranean. Serving up timeless, authentic cuisine created from only the freshest local ingredients and highest-quality imported foods. Boasting a brunch, lunch, afternoon and dinner menu we will look at dinner options for the moment. To start your meal consider either a Burgundy Escargot, Moules (mussels) “Mariniere” or Paté de Campagne. For dinner try the Beef Bourguignon (braised shirt rib with mushrooms and red wine), the Duck Lyonnaise (duck confit, chicken liver, lardons and poached egg) or the Roasted Branzino. All delectable! And the French people produce delicious desserts such as Lemon Tart, Crème Brulée or Mousse au Chocolat.
Kapow Noodle Bar (519 Clematis Street)
Kapow Noodle Bar as the name implies specializes in Asian cuisine, primarily noodles. As with the previous venues, Kapow offer s brunch and dinner menu too. Let’s take a look at the dinner menu shall we? Starters range from General Tso’s Cauliflower to Pork Belly Lollipops to Hoisin BBQ Baby Back Ribs plus a wide assortment of Dim Sum. YUM! Now comes the noodles – Ramen, Pad Thai, Chow Fun or Pad See Ew and all come with whatever protein you want. Not feeling noodle-y, then try one of their assorted Lo Mein or assorted Fried Rice or even a Poke Boke or a Wagyu Burger. And for dessert try their own Pineapple Brulée or share some Thai Donuts.
So, take a stroll to Clematis Street for dinner and then stay for a little night time fun as well.
