Say Cheese, Please!

Ever need a good cheese for a party, hard to find deli item, a nice Charcuterie board or a beautiful gift basket? The most logical choice is to find a local Cheese Shop near you. Cheese, meats and wine – how can you go wrong? Here are a few of those shops to help you in your cheese crisis.

Joseph’s Classic Market
(Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, opening soon in West Palm Beach)

Founded in 2005 by Joseph Acierno, Joseph’s Classic Market was established to bring a true Italian marketplace to Palm Beach County. From hand-butchered meats to homemade cheese and freshly baked pastries, Joseph’s Classic Market is a little touch of Italy in our own backyard. Looking for some really nice cheeses. Look no further. Here you will find fresh mozzarella, aged black Gouda, creamy Buratta, freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano and aged Manchego to name just a few. Also, check out their deli for flavorful sliced deli meats and deli salads. They even have a pizza – purchase one of their premade pies or take home their own Joseph’s sauce and dough to make your own.

Cellar & Pantry
(Delray Beach)

Located inside the Delray Beach Market, the Cellar & Pantry boasts fresh custom made Cheeseboards, Charcuterie Plates, Combo Platters and Gift Baskets as well as Mozzarella making classes and Wine & Cheese tasting events. Some of their most recent offererings have been a fig tartine with fresh goat cheese, fig and pomegranate with bee pollen on toast or Breakfast tartine with Raclette melted over Sourdough topped with potatoes and Jamon Imberico bacon bits. They are pretty well know for their use of Raclette cheese and feature it quite frequently. Stop by and see their beautiful Charcuterie boards or take one home for your and your friends.

Gourmet Market
(Boca Raton)

Owners Nicolas and Catherine Vernet, both French born, were disappointed to find a lack of authenticity and variety in the South Florida area for true French artisan products. They opened Gourmet Market as a place to “bring you a curated selection of artisan products that do justice to the time-tested French tradition of gastronomy.” Located along North Federal Highway, the brightly lit shop boasts true French delicacies such as authentic French pastries, creamy rich cheeses, freshly baked French baguettes and a vast array of fine French wine. Take the time to stop in and see what you you’re missing. Bon appétit!

Not to sound too cheesy, go explore any or all of the great cheese shops. Enjoy!
