Tiny Plates, Great Eats

Going out to dinner with a large party? Ever consider tapas for a group? In case you don’t know, tapas are small plates that are meant to be shared with others while enjoying a beverage. Having a bunch of little plates with various foods is more fun than having one plate in front of you with one item. Go get your friends and enjoy some tapas at these fine places.

On Clematis Street in West Palm Beach you’ll find Tapeo Tapas, which is a quaint little place that will transport you to Old World Spain. Sample such small plates as Spanish Mussels, Beef Empanadillas, Tortilla Espanola, Croquetas de Jamon and many other house made delights. In case it’s just you and a friend but don’t want to share plates, you might try their dinner menu or their paella menu, so many dishes to choose from on them. If you can’t make dinner right now, stop by for lunch or even brunch on the weekends. So, snag some friends and head out for a Tapeo tapas night. Yum!

A little further north in Palm Beach Gardens, you’ll find Salute Market. Right off PGA Boulvelard, this restaurant is a cozy place with wood tables, wood bar and wood shelves. They carry an eclectic array of tapas from Warm Spinach Dip, Stuffed Mushrooms, Smoked Salmon Carpaccio, and the Chef’s Meatballs to name a few. Just like Tapeo, if you desire a large plate by yourself, just ask. They have a nice menu of large plate options as well as Naan bread with toppings creations.

Down in funky little Lake Worth you will find a tapas place called Suri with a farm to table attitude. With a tapas menu that changes with the season you might want to make a reservation before coming over. The tapas menu is full of great fare such as Tapas Tacos (either Blackened Mahi, Cajun Shrimp, Spicy Pork or Veggie) or Sliders (Waygu Beef, Crab Cake, Pulled Pork, Filet Mignon or Sur-thern Chicken Biscuit). You can even share one their many house-made flatbreads like the Apple & Brie, Shrimp Florentine or Bistecca Blue. Again, not feeling like sharing tonight? They have a large plate menu as well. All you have to do is ask!

Now, go grab a huge group of friends and order enough tapas for everyone plus drinks, of course! Enjoy!
